We provide North College Hill and the rest of Cincinnati with the freshest baked goods you can get your hands on and have been doing so for over 80 years. We opened the doors in 1933 and since then we've upgraded equipment, switched buildings, and added a few more employees but still strive to keep things simple:

These ideas have been the recipe for our success since our founders Carl and Anna Litschgi decided to rent out a small corner store at Goodman & Savannah Ave and start North College Hill's first bakery. Business boomed and in a few years' time they were able to expand to our current 1807 West Galbraith location. Carl and Anna continued to run the bakery until 1962, except for a brief stint in the 50's where it was leased out to Matt Perkins, who went on to start "Perkins" restaurant. The bakery changed hands once more before finally being sold in 1967 to the Litschgi's youngest daughter, Charlene Weitzel, and her husband. With 45+ years in, Charlene can still be found running the place with as much energy and zest as the day she bought it.
