JR Neans was 51 years old on August 5, 2013 when he suffered a massive heart attack which nearly took his life. (On August 5, 2013 JR Neans, at the time 51 years old, suffered a massive heart attack.) The doctors told him that if he wanted to live he would have to quit smoking.

JR tried many tricks to quit smoking including patches, Nicorette gum, and chewing toothpicks but nothing seemed to work. Little did JR know, it takes more than just nicotine to help person quit. After struggling for several weeks JR decided to try one of those electronic cigarettes that he had heard so much about. He didn’t know much about them but he did know that they had helped several people quit smoking.

After studying just about every report available on e-cigarettes, JR discovered that the actual hand-to-mouth motion is just as addictive as nicotine (psychologically speaking). Patches, Chantix, and Nicorette gum have enough nicotine to reduce one’s cravings but they lack the psychological benefit of a simulated cigarette.

After nearly two years JR says that he is like a new man. It’s been over two years since his last cigarette and he says he “feels like a new man”.  Legally, we cannot say that vaping is a proven smoking cessation method however we rely on mountains of anecdotal evidence from former smokers and tobacco users. (By no means are we stating that vaping is a proven smoking cessation method. Being retired from the US Army and a disabled veteran, JR wanted to do something to help people. (JR retired from the US Army, as a disabled veteran he felt compelled to do something to help others.)  After his own near death experience he feels that it is his duty to educate and inform others about the benefits of vaping.
